Plan the work. Let agents do it.

Crescendo is an open-source task manager and calendar for the Mac. Hand any to-do to Claude Code, then review what comes back.

Hand it off in one keystroke.

A to-do list that hands the busywork to agents, plans around your calendar and waits for your yes.

The app

One calm place for plans and agents.

Lists, calendar, focus timer and agent runs share one native window, so work never leaves the place it started.

How it works

Four steps, one list.

01Delegation

Send a to-do to an agent.

Pick a task and press Delegate. Claude Code works on it in your own environment, with your tools and keys, while the to-do shows live progress.

  • Runs through your own Claude Code install
  • You choose the folders and tools it may touch
  • A live log sits on the to-do itself

Requests become to-dos on their own.

Connect mail, chat and your calendar. Anything addressed to you lands on your list with the source attached, so nothing waits in an unread thread.

  • Mail, chat and calendar in one inbox
  • The original message stays one click away
  • Ready to delegate the moment it arrives

03Review

Approve before anything ships.

Every finished run comes back as a diff, a draft or a short summary. Approve it, ask for changes in plain words, or take over by hand.

  • Diffs for code, drafts for writing
  • Ask for changes without starting over
  • Nothing leaves your Mac unapproved

04Planning Β· soon

A week that plans itself.

Describe what has to happen this week. Crescendo proposes focus blocks around your meetings and moves them when plans change, always as a suggestion you can take or leave.

  • Focus blocks fitted around meetings
  • Suggestions, never silent changes
  • Agent work scheduled into quiet hours

FAQ

Before you ask.

Still curious? Once the repository is public, issues and discussions are open to everyone.

A chat window waits for you to type. Crescendo starts from your list: you mark a to-do as delegated, an agent works on it with real tools, and the result comes back to the same to-do for review.

Whatever your Claude Code setup can do: edit files in a repository, run scripts, search the web or draft text. You choose per task which folders and tools it may use.

Claude Code first, through its command-line interface. The backend is swappable, so other command-line agents can be added by the community.

Nothing is applied without your approval. You see the diff or the draft, ask for changes in plain words, or discard the run and do it yourself.

In a local SQLite database on your Mac. There is no Crescendo server and no telemetry. Agent runs go through your own Claude account and its terms.

Crescendo is free and open source under the MIT license. Running agents uses your existing Claude Code plan or API key.

Macs with Apple silicon. A companion for other devices may come later, and contributions are welcome.
